VS Hangout Corner: Super Senior Gojo VS GRN LL SSJ4 Gogeta

“Fuck them kids.” - Michael Jordan

Super Senior Gojo, professional freshmen back shotter of TikTok.

GRN Legends Limited Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, the headliner character of Dragon Ball Legends’ 3rd Anniversary.

Kids are something that should be cherished and protected, for their youth and innocence are important to the next era of society. With that in mind, today we’re putting one of the most infamous menaces to children in history against their greatest protector. Who would come out on top on a DEATH BATTLE!?

Before We Start…

There are a lot of things to talk about here, but we'll start with the most obvious one. For Gogeta, we’ll be using scaling and powers from the Dragon Ball Legends game. But for Super Senior Gojo, things get a bit wild. First, all the original TikTok videos from the @gojothesenior account, but since that account had all their videos deleted, any repost that we could find will be included. And because they are so popular, the animations from the sinisterbart YouTube channel will also be analyzed here. A lot of other TikToks/Shorts will be featured too because uhhh fuck it we ball.

Backstory

The arts in this section were all made by Sharaku Jr.!

Super Senior Gojo

“Drake, why that THANG so long?!”

In Gyatterson Highschool, a mischievous, weird, and maniac high school student walks through the corridors. He’s the bane of all evil, and backshots whoever dares to get in his way. This is Super Senior Gojo, or Gojo the Senior, freshman of 7 years. A "super senior" is a student who's older than their classmates because they've been held back one or more years! This wacky character was created by TikTok user @gojothesenior, and his stories quickly became popular during October 2023. The TikToks often followed Gojo preying on his fellow female classmates doing God knows what, akin to real life super senior stereotypes. What would actually become the rise of popularity of Super Senior Gojo’s carrier, though, would be the animations done in the sinisterbart channel, earlier in 2024, depicting the same scenarios of the TikToks but with more brainrot. Wherever you may go, may this AI voice creepy Gojo version not be anywhere close to you, especially if you’re a girl.

GRN Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta

It seems I have the power to destroy you now…

In the year 2021, Dragon Ball Legends celebrated its 3rd Anniversary celebration. With the headlining unit being GRN Legends Limited Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. The character was super exciting and sought after on release, because cmon, it’s Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. Unfortunately, flaws in his kit alongside an uncomfortable metagame at the time made him hard to run and fall out of favor. Even more so when, just a few weeks after his release, a new Gohan dropped into the game that HARD COUNTERED Gogeta. He was asked to be put into the game for years by players, only to get the shortest end of the stick.

The script changed dramatically however a few months later, where Gogeta would receive a buff in the form of a new Unique Equipment exclusive to him. This made him shoot up from disappointment to metagame GOD, dominating the scene until the next big releases came around. Even with new powerful characters such as a LL Goku & Vegeta duo character, Gogeta was still top tier. It would be a while after the 4th Anniversary where he would start to experience power creep, but it’s safe to say he got to properly have his time in the spotlight.

He would come back one last time with his Zenkai Awakening (mechanic where old characters have their stats and abilities upgraded) earlier this year. Since then, he’s been a very good character in the metagame, and it seems like it’ll stick that way a while longer.

BUT YOU DIDN’T COME HERE TO HEAR ABOUT A MOBILE GAME’S PVP META, you came here to hear about how, randomly, one day, someone used this Gogeta’s card art for a meme where he called out select people for liking kids. Since the meme’s inception, it has been a mainstay on the internet whenever someone finds someone acting, sus, to say the least. Safe to say, this version of Gogeta is an icon both in and out of his debut game.

Experience and Skill

Super Senior Gojo

Gojo is a super senior so he should have academic experience. He’s very skilled in manipulating and finding a lot of different freshmen in Gyatteson Highschool and is infamous for the skill he has in backshots and gripping. He can also keep up in combat with Sukuna, and even surpass both Sukuna and the original Gojo in combat.

GRN Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta

Technically speaking, Gogeta is just a card you can acquire in game. He doesn’t have actual skill himself. If he does, it’s the combination of Goku and Vegeta’s decades of talent. But considering the circumstances here, let’s just go with the idea that Gogeta is as skilled as the person playing the game. That’s right, you’ll be fighting Super Senior Gojo today.

Equipment

Phone

A phone that Gojo carries to watch his Drake videos. Do not dare to get close to him while he watches these, or he will make you watch it too.

Gun

Do not diss Drake in front of this man, or else… TAKE THIS, TAKE THIS! DIE, DIE, DIE!

Unique Equipment: “I have the power to destroy you now!”

Thumbnail by Goresh

Dragon Ball Legends allows characters to equip up to three equips, allowing for various buffs to both defenses and offenses. For LL GRN Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta in particular, he has a Unique Equipment called “I have the power to destroy you now!”. This Equipment has three different sets of bonuses for Gogeta.

The first increases his maximum health by 15%, and his melee and ranged attack defenses by 35% each. The second set increases his overall damage inflicted by 35%, and both his melee and ranged offensive stats by 35%. The third bonus is by far the most impactful however. When an enemy Gogeta KOs is revived, his damage inflicted will increase by 50% permanently, and he will acquire two Dragon Balls. As for what those do…

Dragon Balls

In Dragon Ball Legends, Dragon Balls can be obtained throughout a battle by either using cards with Dragon Balls attached to them, or they can be obtained by specific characters’ unique abilities. Gogeta falls into that pool of characters, but more info on his other abilities later. Once all 7 Dragon Balls have been collected, a character can perform an ultimate attack called a Rising Rush. When activated, the user will rush through all non special/ultimate attacks and proceed to enter an unstoppable combo on the enemy. Said combo will finish with a devastating special attack, with that attack alongside the combo leading to absurd damage. Typically, most fights only have one Rising Rush performed by each side. The Dragon Balls can be recollected for a second or even third Rising Rush, but for every successful Rising Rush, the rate at which Dragon Balls will appear on cards will decrease.

Powers and Abilities

Super Senior Gojo

Fourth Wall Awareness

Gojo directly talks to the viewer about PolyAI. Propaganda, ladies!

Flight

He can fly.

Reversal Technique: Shoot Up The Classroom

With this technique, Super Senior Gojo summons multiple red guns to shoot at his opponent, making them fly off a building. See you later, alligator!

Imaginary Technique: Scope Him Like JFK

Gojo creates a blue sniper rifle of imaginary mass to do epic scopes! Maybe a 360 as well.

Hollow Purple

Of course one of the most deadly techniques of Gojo would be here. By mixing Lapse Blue and Reversal Red, Super Senior Gojo creates this imaginary mass (AKA big purple ball) called Hollow Purple. When shot, much like in the original manga, it completely rips through opponents, causing immense damage.

Maximum Output: Purple

If one Hollow Purple wasn’t absurd enough, Maximum Output is an ability that Gojo does by creating a purple machine gun that fires multiple Hollow Purples at once. Perfect for killing everyone and “airing bitches out”!

Mewing

Whenever he starts losing control, Gojo starts mewing to calm himself.

Backshots

The deadliest thing you could ever receive. Super Senior Gojo’s trump card when their opponents are fooling around or in a state of weakness. He gives backshots, so deadly that they can actually kill people with it. So be careful with your backs, it could happen at any moment…

Reverse Grip Technique

Acting similar to Reversal Cursed Technique, this ability lets Gojo heal from what otherwise would be lethal injuries to his body, if you get what I mean.

Resurrection/Immortality

For some inexplicable reason, Super Senior Gojo comes back a lot of times. It can be due to “being too tight”, getting his ass beaten to death, or being cut in half, he will always come back no matter what. Timeframe doesn’t seem to be much longer either, as he could come back from a few minutes after he died.

Domain Expansions

Unlimited Void

Gojo’s Domain Expansion where he overloads his target with infinite information to their brains… except NOT!  While it does seem to paralyze the opponent, it does NOT fill their brains with information, because the one who gets affected is Gojo himself! In fact, he becomes so stupid that not even the “sure-hit” effects of a Domain Expansion are applied, and his attacks actually comically miss.

Unresistable Backshots

Pretty self explanatory, I suppose…

Steven Hawking’s Experiment #35

Whatever the hell happened here.

ILL MAKE IT FART. IT WILL FART

Uh… yeah… pretty wild backshots…

Legends Game Mechanics

Dragon Ball Legends works off of a variety of different mechanics. For starters, all fights take place midair. If a character cannot naturally fly, they are given a Jetpack.

Attacks are typically performed with Arts Cards that appear in one’s deck. Gogeta’s specific Arts Card info will be mentioned later. Damage is done otherwise through a Rising Rush, which was explained earlier, or through tap attacks. Melee jab attacks are done at close range, a tackle towards the enemy that can start combos is performed from medium range, and a small ki blast is shot out at enemies at long range. A long range gap can also be closed with a fast paced strike, where your character will instantly dash and attack the enemy with a gut punch. All of these attacks can be overpowered with Arts Cards.

For cards to be utilized, characters use Ki from their Ki Meter. A character can either have it fill up overtime, or charge it up manually at a far faster rate by concentrating. Doing so does leave one vulnerable though. If you have no Ki, you can’t use Arts Cards.

Lastly, attacks can be evaded via the Vanishing Step technique. When your Vanish Meter is full, a character can perform a Vanish Step and instantly appear in front of your opponent. This is done by side stepping right when an enemy attacks. If you miss the timing and side step without dodging however, you are vulnerable. Perfect instant timing however will cause your character to perform a Perfect Vanish, where you are guaranteed to be able to start a combo on your opponent right after evading their attack. After performing a Vanish Step, your character will have their Vanish Meter reduced to 0. It can be filled up by either taking an attack or switching out with an ally. It will also fill up overtime when you are not attacking.

Cards

For his various moves in a fight, Gogeta has access to a variety of cards. These consume Ki and are how you play the game in Dragon Ball Legends. Gogeta has access to 5 of the different Card Types in the game.

  • Strike Arts Cards: Gogeta’s primary card for dealing a strong burst of melee damage. The base cost is 18 for a fully maxed out Gogeta. He flies up to the enemy and beats them up. When using a strike card, Gogeta has Blast Armor, which allows him to power through basic ranged attacks at the cost of recoil damage. Gogeta comes into battle with 4 Strike Cards in his deck, with one of those four having the bonus of giving him a 20% damage increase to melee damage for 2 seconds when used.

  • Blast Arts Cards: This card lets Gogeta fire a flurry of strong ki blasts at his opponent. The base cost is 28 for a fully maxed out Gogeta. Gogeta has 4 Blast Arts Cards in his deck when he goes into battle, with one of them providing a 20% damage increase to ranged attacks for 2 seconds when used.

  • Special Move Cards: An incredibly powerful card that stands above all other Special Move cards in the game. The base cost of this card is 49 for a fully maxed out Gogeta. When used, Gogeta will immediately charge up an incredible Big Bang Kamehameha at the opponent. Gogeta will receive a 40% buff to Special Move damage when using this attack for 3 seconds. This is notable due to the fact that when Gogeta first uses a Special Move Card in battle, he will immediately draw an extra Special Move Card alongside restoring 50 Ki. Allowing him to instantly fire off a second devastating blast right after his first. As an additional bonus, Gogeta’s Special Move will overpower any other attack in the game no matter what. The only way to get past this attack is through specific cards that have counter attacks to all attacks. Gogeta only has one of these cards in his deck for battle.

  • Special Skill Cards: Special Skill cards are non-damaging utility moves, with Gogeta’s having him fly up to his opponent and bluff them with the Bluff Kamehameha before sending them away with a surprise kick. The effects of this card are monstrous. When activated, Gogeta will get back 50 Ki, a 30% damage buff for 20 seconds, and the ability to bypass Special Cover Changes (specific abilities that block certain defenses for when someone takes a hit for someone else) for 10 seconds. When landed, the enemy will lose all of their cards and, for the first three times they’re hit by a Bluff Kamehameha, they will lose all of their current stat buffs. A maxed out Gogeta needs 11 Ki to use this card. Gogeta only has one of these cards in his deck for battle.

  • Ultimate Skill Card: Gogeta’s by far strongest attack apart from a Rising Rush. At the cost of 19 Ki for a maxed out Gogeta, he can rush up to his opponent and hit them with a game ending combo that leads into a x100 Big Bang Kamehameha. When the card is utilized, Gogeta will gain 50% Ultimate damage for 3 seconds, and when it lands, the attack will reduce the enemy’s damage reduction by 100%. Setting them to 0 so that they take the attack’s full force. Additionally, the Ultimate has a buff that makes it so it nullifies any enemy’s skill that lets them restore health even after it falls to 0. This card is special, and cannot be drawn normally. It can only be drawn through specific means.

Main Ability: I have the power to destroy you now…

Gogeta’s Main Ability that can be activated once in the fight once 25 seconds have elapsed. It has multiple effects, including a 35% heal, 50 Ki being restored, an unremovable increase to his Arts Card Draw Speed level for 20 seconds, an unremovable buff that removes his type disadvantage issues for 20 seconds, and lastly, he draws his Ultimate Skill Card: 100x Big Bang Kamehameha.

Unique Ability: Pinnacle of Power

When Gogeta starts fighting, he gets multiple buffs. He gets an unremovable 80% damage buff, reduces damage sustained from the enemies’ first combo on him by 30%, gains a level of Arts Card draw speed, has his Strike and Blast Arts card costs each reduced by 5, and he is immune to all status conditions permanently no matter what.

Whenever he shows up on the battlefield, he also restores 30 Ki automatically, gets an additional unremovable 50% damage buff, has a permanent non-removable 50% damage reduction buff, and is immune to debuffs and type disadvantage for 15 counts the first three times he switches into battle,

Unique Ability: Unparalleled Fusion

This Unique Ability provides a variety of unique options. If Gogeta is coming in to take an attack for an ally, he can nullify basic attacks completely up to two times. Doing so seals one of the enemy’s Arts Cards for 10 seconds, and makes them draw cards slower for 10 seconds as well. Notably, whenever an enemy Gogeta defeats is revived through one way or another, he gains two Dragon Balls and restores 20% of his health.

An extra bonus is that whenever Gogeta encounters an enemy, he does 10% more damage for 10 seconds. gains a 50% increase to Ki Recovery for 5 seconds, and reduces enemy Ki by 10.

Zenkai Unique Ability: An Aura Worthy of the Strongest

If Gogeta enters battle while the enemy is below 50% health, he’ll restore 30 Ki and inflict the enemy with a debuff that reduces their damage reduction abilities by 30% for 5 seconds. If Gogeta enters battle when the only enemy left is the last one standing, he’ll increase his chance to deal critical damage by 50% for 5 seconds, become immune to having his cards destroyed for 10 seconds, and draw his Ultimate Arts Card, x100 Big Bang Kamehameha, without having to use his Main Ability.

Zenkai Unique Ability: Power to Turn Despair into Hope

When Gogeta enters the battlefield, allies that are from GT or are Fusions heal 5% health, get a 20% damage buff for 20 seconds, and have debuffs removed (this bonus in particular only happens twice). Gogeta additionally gets these buffs himself.

If Gogeta enters the battlefield when there is a defeated GT or Fusion teammate. he nullifies Special Cover Change for 10 counts, and heals both his health and his remaining ally’s health by 10% if they are from GT or are a Fusion.

Z-Ability

Gogeta’s Z-Ability is a passive buff that he provides to himself and fellow team mates on the battlefield if they are from Dragon Ball GT, are Fusions, or are Saiyans. He’ll give himself and these allies a 35% increase to their melee and ranged defensive stats.

Zenkai Ability

An additional Z-Ability Gogeta gained thanks to his Zenkai Awakening. GRN Type Fusions get a 35% buff to their offensive stats and a 40% buff to their defensive ones. Gogeta also gets this buff.

Scaling

Super Senior Gojo

Gojo and Sukuna

The Strongest Satoru Gojo and The King of Curses Sukuna are excellent High School students of Rizz Academy. However, it’s clear the Super Senior is far above them. He blew a hole through Sukuna with a stray Hollow Purple, knocked Sukuna out with one punch after Sukuna called the situation hopeless as he couldn’t call over Goku to help him, and one shotted Gojo with a good ol’ Hollow Purple. Feats and calculations here were all from G1’s Gojo VS Makima (2023) and Media Mania’s Sukuna VS Muzan!! No plagiarism guys!! Always CREDIT!!!

GRN Super Saiyan Gogeta 4

Legends Limited Characters

Gogeta is able to keep up in Legends’ 2024 Metagame thanks to his useful abilities and stats that are far above characters from previous years in the game’s history. Thus it is safe to say he would scale far above characters from before the end of 2023. Especially his fellow Legends Limited rarity characters.

Dragon Ball Legends Story Events

Dragon Ball Legends contains a full-fledged story mode featuring multiple classic and original characters. While Gogeta has yet to appear in said story, he has appeared in a special Anniversary Event where it was implied he could match Corrupted Merged Zamasu. Prior to Gogeta appearing, weaker characters like Nuova Shenron were also surviving attacks. Safe to say, Gogeta should be comparable to main series feats, at least up to the point in the main series story where Fusion Zamasu appears. The main Dragon Ball Legends story mode is meant to take place after Dragon Ball’s Universal Survival Saga anyways, further showing that game characters logically shouldn’t be below their main series counterparts. Feats and calculations here were all from G1’s Goku VS Superman!! No plagiarism guys!! Always CREDIT!!

Weaknesses

Super Senior Gojo

Super Senior Gojo may be threatening, but he has many weaknesses. Unlike the original Gojo, he hasn't been shown to have an Infinity barrier to protect him, which leaves him passively unprotected, a thing that’s exploited by the characters several times. It doesn’t help that he’s also ruthless, childish and dumb, super dumb, underestimating powerful opponents. He can also accidentally kill himself by trying to backshot gyatts that are too tight.

GRN Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta

This is a reference.

While Gogeta has plenty of strong abilities, he does have a good handful of shortcomings that can be exploited. For starters, his GRN typing makes him vulnerable to attacks from PUR type characters, and he additionally does less damage to them than other characters. While he can neutralize this disadvantage with his entrance buffs and Main Ability, these fixes are temporary. Additionally, Gogeta cannot keep a combo up forever as his card and ki supplies are finite, even if he can restore both mid combo.

Are we stupid?

Yeah.

Verdict

Stats

There’s no escaping the fact that Gojo is absolutely screwed.

To start with strength or attack potency, Super Senior Gojo on his own has barely shown any actual impressive feats, and all of the feats done by himself are very weak. The only thing that you can get from him is scaling to other characters from Jujutsu Kaisen, which can get him all the way up to mountain to country levels of power, which isn’t even close to Gogeta scaling to Kid Buu’s planet level busting Legendary Finish. And this is only considering Legends, as scaling to feats in Dragon Ball would get him to multiple times above universal level. Easy to say that Gogeta takes this category with no relative issue.

For speed, Super Senior Gojo could exit the Earth in less than a second and should scale to feats like Sukuna dodging Kashimo’s EM waves, but it’s nothing that Gogeta himself couldn’t match and surpass with feats in Legends and SHOCKWAVES-CHAN!!!!!!, meaning Gogeta takes this as well. Either Gogeta matches meme feats by scaling to Broly’s horizon toss (Black Flash speed for Gojo only matters if you use main series lore), or he blitzes by being quadrillions of times faster at worst via canon feats.

Durability shouldn’t be hard to figure, so Gogeta by scaling to other cards and being capable of enduring the attacks brought in attack potency gives him the advantage yet again. To summarize, if you stick to meme/game content only, Gojo and Gogeta have comparable speeds with Gogeta killing him in one shot. Even if he was equal to 1% of Kid Buu’s planet destruction, that’s more than enough. Said feat would also beat out any feat Super Senior Gojo could scale to from JJK as well. Only reason Gogeta would need main source feats is to be faster.

Arsenal and Abilities

This is where Gojo can actually keep up at first glance. First off, his full power attacks are far more spammable, especially with stuff like Shoot Up The Classroom and the Hollow Purple Machine Gun. Him not being limited by gameplay mechanics also makes it so his dodges are not restricted, and that he can fire more omnidirectional attacks. But that’s about where his advantages end.

Gogeta has far more ways to increase his power at his disposal. He has far more stat buffs he can get, and he can also apply debuffs to Gojo to make him more vulnerable. Some can apply by Gogeta simply entering the battlefield. He also has multiple ways of recovering health (which are easier to do than Reverse Grip technique), and it’s not like lacking destructive potency is such a bad thing when he’s either even in speed or blitzing. His full power attacks are also more likely to be instant kills, can easily overpower Gojo’s attacks just like they do against other special moves in-game, and Gogeta’s means of getting Blast Armor just let him outright power through all of Gojo’s ranged options.

This just leaves us with addressing Gojo’s various Domain Expansions. All his back shot ones are countered by the fact Gogeta is just too strong for him to do damage with his back shots. But what about Unlimited Void? Ignoring the issue that Super Senior’s version also leaves him as even more of an idiot than he already is, Gogeta is passively immune to all negative status effects. So the paralysis it seems to induce just wouldn’t work on him anyways.

But wait, what about Gojo’s revivals? Well they take a few minutes, making them harder to spam. But additionally, Gojo reviving is just going to make Gogeta stronger. When an enemy revives, Gogeta gets health back, a damage buff, and 4 Dragon Balls. Gojo has also never come back from being completely disintegrated, which leaves him vulnerable to a x100 Big Bang Kamehameha Ultimate, which is shown in the animation to disintegrate people. Arguing Gojo’s revival also assumes he can come back from being reduced to a bloody puddle from Gogeta hitting him with any other attack once. And to top it all off, Gogeta’s Ultimate literally nullifies abilities that allow someone to come back from being reduced to 0 HP.

Side note, Super Senior Gojo has never displayed the knowledge on how to use the Limitless Barrier technique, so no need to talk about that.

Tertiary Factors

I’m pretty sure you’re smarter than Super Senior Gojo I’m not gonna lie

Jokes aside, while Gojo has notable skill, it isn’t matching the skill of Goku and Vegeta combined. Even if you stick to just Legends, in the game itself you have to fight multiple Dragon Ball characters with insane skill and experience, so… yeah Gojo’s kinda screwed here, isn’t he?

Conclusion

“IF I CAN’T HAVE MY GAYATTS, THEN NO ONE CAN!”

Advantages:

  • Comparable speed without official feats

  • Spammable Hollow Purple might be a problem if Gogeta gets hit

  • Can revive…

  • HE’S BEHIND YOU! Kidding.

Disadvantages:

  • …but reviving makes Gogeta stronger

  • Everything else, really.

  • Cannot count up to 18

I heard you a _ ‘friend’ I heard you like little boys and girls ‘friend’.

Advantages:

  • Far stronger with or without main series feats

  • Faster if we’re including main series feats

  • Much smarter fighter

  • Better healing options

  • Even if Gojo reviving is possible, that just makes Gogeta stronger

  • Can count up to 18

Disadvantages:

  • Stronger attacks are not spammable like with Gojo

  • Restricted by gameplay mechanics

  • Was underpowered on release, first release afterwards proceeded to counter him

Safe to say, Gojo is cooked, and thank God for that. When it comes to stats, Gogeta easily takes the field. If you stick to their own memes and games, their speed is comparable, but Gogeta one shots. If you use their official material for whatever reason, not only does Gogeta have a better argument for scaling to said material, but that just opens him up to being quadrillions of times stronger and faster.

Ability wise while Gojo isn’t restricted by game mechanics, those restrictions are the only advantage he’s got. Gogeta has better healing, stronger moves, better defensive abilities, debuffs, immunities, you name it. And Gojo’s various Domains aren’t helping him out here either, since Gogeta is both immune to debuffs and way stronger.

And lastly, Gogeta is far more skilled. Either because Gojo’s intelligence is below the average human being and most people are good at random ass mobile games, or because Dragon Ball characters like Gogeta are far more skilled than this bum. While Gojo certainly, uh, exists, GRN Legends Limited Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta is simply too legendary for this Super Senior.

Final Tally

Team Super Senior Gojo  (0) - NOOOO MOOOOORE GAYATTS

Team GRN Legends Limited Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta (2) - ishi_yuki, Blue Igneous
